The Story

I created this painting for a couple who share a deep connection to weeping willow trees. Growing up, these graceful trees were a meaningful part of both of their childhoods, making them a beautiful symbol of home, memories, and the life they’ve built together.

To bring that sense of movement and emotion to the canvas, I painted this piece almost entirely with a palette knife, layering thick, expressive strokes of vibrant color. The rich texture catches the light and gives the willow a feeling of life—its branches dancing gently, just as memories have a way of staying with us through the years.
